In my newsletter I explained that God placed in my heart, six years ago, the desire to conduct an empowering conference for women in leadership in Africa. I have been pursuing this for the past two years, and last year made some concrete plans towards it. The women in Africa are excited and anticipating this upcoming conference in August 2008. In fact, I have a working committee of 18 ladies in Zambia who are on the ground ready to implement plans as we embark on bringing in women in leadership from 10 other countries.

"You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you,all whose thoughts are fixed on you!" (Isaiah 26:3)

Don't you just love the promises of God - promises such as the above one that reminds us that we are never alone in any situation we face! Trusting that this year 2008 will be a God inspired, faith-filled journey for you. 

Our apologies as this is only our first communiqué for the year - my, the time fleets if you pause for a moment. The year has started off with excitement as I have returned to the journeys on the road and am already sensing such divine appointments in each place. Last week in Laval, Quebec the ministry times were simply ‘refreshing'. The Youth Rally on Friday was filled with vibrant young people who were so open to the Word of God; Saturday with IBQ (French Bible College) once again declared God's faithfulness for those who press beyond the obstacles. Over the years of preaching in Centre Evangelique de Laval, I have watched it grow. But this year I was alarmed at the great growth in these French Churches - praise God!
